Mission

The primary mission of Computer and Communication center, NTHU is to: Maintain campus network system, set up campus communication system and connect it to Taiwan Academic Networks (TANet) and World Wide Web, provide campus-wide Internet service mechanism, set up and provide service of dormitory network, maintain E-mail system, and provide campus telephone communication service.

Secondly, C.C.C. is responsible for development and maintenance of school’s computerized administrative system and supporting e-learning, multimedia production, management, and its promotion education. Major facilities include various server workstations, network devices, telephone exchangers, PC classrooms, e-learning systems, distance learning classrooms, photo studios, and digital media facilities, etc. These devices are all accessible through campus network from every department and dormitory’s computer. Besides, users can link through TANet and WWW to other academic or research units in either domestic or foreign countries.
